Hugs!

Hi, Friends!

I had fun playing with alcohol inks today!  It's been quite awhile since I've used them.  It was so fun and I have the inky fingers to prove it...lol!  Next time I'll have to remember to use gloves.  I'm entering the card below over at MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with purple.  The next panel was inked up using alcohol inks of flamingo, patina, amethyst, and silver mixative.  I cut out the center using an MFT circle die, which took a lot of the pink and aqua away.  But, in real life you can see subtle hints of the color along with the pretty silver.  I used a brush to apply distress oxide ink of candied apple behind the bear and on the bear's cheeks.  All dies and the sweet panda bear stamp are from MFT.   I'm sending this card to my friend, Linda, who had outpatient surgery last week and is awaiting the results.  I hope and pray all goes well for her!

Ok, that's all for now.  Take care and have a wonderful week!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs,
Maria

Thank You!

Hi, there!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for a friend.  It was a past due birthday celebration for me.  My friend has had some rough luck with things.  The time we were to get together she had car damage from hitting a deer.  Her next hurdle was getting her husband back to good health after he had open heart surgery.  Anyways, we got together with dinner, cake, and a few gifts.  We all had a great time catching up on things!  If you haven't guessed it yet, Nancy is my friend who loves owls.  So, an owl slider card it is.  I've been wanting to do a slider card...so easy and fun!

I used MFT stamp set.  The slider die is from MFT, too.  I colored the owls with copics.  The twine and dots are from doodlebug.  I can't wait to see my friend, Nancy, for a craft day soon to show her how to make a slider card!

Ok, well that's all for now.  And, just an added note...

My heart just aches over the recent shooting in Parkland, Florida.  I don't know what the answer is to all the school shootings.  It seems that troubled youth are hurting and so they lash out at innocent young children.  It is so very sad.  I won't get political for I see both sides of the issue.  But, I will say please be kind to one another.    Spread kindness, peace, and love.  God's peace to you and yours.

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties February 2018-Blast from the past favorites!

Hi there!

And, welcome to Day #3 of Blast from the past with Paper Sweeties!  Today I have another card using the pups once again.  Unlike the new card I made from my post a couple days ago, the above card is truly a blast from the past for I made this card a few years ago.  But, it remains as one of my favorites!

I just adore the darling pups, love sentiment die cut, and sweet heart!  Paper Sweeties has several wonderful sentiment stamps/die sets!  One of the die sets that I used on the above card is Sweet Cuts-Wish!  I used the Love die at the top of the card, which is from the set.  The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set Wish.  I gave this card to my great niece for her birthday.

For my card, I started with a tan card base and paired it with pink and black.  The heart design paper is from Crate Paper.  The stitched heart is from the stamp set Stitched Tags-#1 and Sweet Cuts-Stitched Tags-#1 coordinating die cut.  The cute little dogs are from the stamp set Sweeties Pets.  Enamel hearts from Recollections, pearl cotton, and seam binding ribbon from Paper Sweeties(licorice) to finish off the card.

Projects Supplies:

And, speaking of a darling pup I love.  Well, certainly not a pup any longer, but we love him just the same.  We got some fresh snow recently and he wanted to enjoy it.  He was just having so much fun that I had to snap a few pics of him...

Our sweet dog, Shadow, is eleven year old.  He's slowing down, but you wouldn't know it when he gets out in the snow...lol!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Paper Sweeties February 2018-Blast from the past favorites!

Hi, there!

And, welcome to Paper Sweeties Blast from the past favorites Day 2!  We don't have a new release this month, but we are highlighting past favorites from previously released stamp/die sets!   I came up with a sweet card with the darling dog and cat from the Sweeties Pets!   And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  I paired it with black and sparkly red paper.  I added a white doily and a Paper Sweeties die cut doily heart using Sweet Cuts-With Love.  A white scalloped circle was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames.  The dog and cat were colored with copics.  The tiny hearts are from the set Thanks Berry Much.  And, the die cut banner is from the set Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  Pom pom trim, Strawberry sequins and Licorice seam binding ribbon to finish the card.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my tag for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (TAG you're it!).  Please join us for this fun challenge and have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

I was inspired to make a tag with lots of hearts and two love birds.  I'm thinking of placing it on a white card base and sending it to my sis-in-law and husband for their anniversary coming up soon.  And, here is my tag...

I started with a white base and paired it with a die cut using Sue Wilson's Frames and Tags.  I'm quickly becoming a big Sue Wilson fan!  The dies are so elegant and pretty!  I added pink hearts, which were die cut using Lawn Fawn Stitched Party Banners.  The bird cage with birds is from Penny Black.  And, the Silhouette flowers behind the pink hearts are from TE.  The sentiment is from PTI.  And, the small red hearts are from SSS.  Gems and Wink of Stella on the birds and small hearts finished the tag.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Paper Sweeties February 2018 Blast from the past!

Hi, there!

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love!  Hugs!!

We don't have a new release this month, but we are highlighting  favorites!  Today I am highlighting the stamp set Sweet Treats(Snow Time Add-on).  Also, die cuts hearts Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  And, the banner is from the set Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.

And, here is my treat bag that I decorated for a lady that I visit from my church every month...

I filled the bag with peanut M&M's and hershey chocolates wrapped in pretty Authentique paper.  Silver ribbon to complete the tasty treats.  The banner was stamped with the perfect sentiment for her since she is a dear sweet lady.  When I'm to leave her place, she always tells me to bundle up and helps me put my hood up on my coat...so sweet!  It's always a treat for me to visit her!

I made her a shaker card, too.  And, here is a view of my card...

I used the same banner from Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  The heart die cut panel is from PTI and the sentiment is from Avery Elle.  The shaker elements are beads and sequins.  Twine to finish the card.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Maria

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, there!

I hope your Sunday is going well.  We made it safely back home after going out this morning.  We nearly fell once getting out of the car this morning going into church due to freezing rain.  But, all was well and we are staying in for the rest of the day.  Lots of bad weather out there.  So, wherever you are...take care and stay safe!

Ok, now time to share another card instead of the weather.  I know that they arrived, so it's safe to reveal them.  The above card was made using PTI and Sissix dies.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the twine is from SU.  I wanted to use some shimmer and shine on the heart since I'm always inspired how my friend, Greta uses shimmer and shine on her lovely cards! I'm entering this card over at CAS-ual Fridays.

Next up, is a card made for another friend.  And, here is my card...

The same dies and stamp were used on this card, also.  Vellum was used with the top heart and some water colored backgrounds.

Well, that's it for my Valentine cards!  I hope you have a great rest of the week and a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, there!

I hope your Tuesday is going well!  I'm popping in here to share with you a couple cards I made for Valentine's Day.  Wow, it's next week already!  I'm entering the above card over at Simon Says Stamp and Word Art Wednesday

I wasn't sure when I'd see my son, so I mailed him the above Valentine card.  He was so sweet and brought it up when he was visiting us this past weekend and opened it.  He then asked me what to do with all the cards that I send him...lol!  So, we agreed that he would display them for awhile and then bring them back to me.  I'm not sure what I'll do with them.  Maybe I'll store them in an album.  So, friends...what do you do with the handmade cards that you receive?

Anyways, the card was made with SSS, MFT, and Mama Elephant stamps/dies.

Next up, is a card that I made for a friend.  And, here is the card...

The heart die was made from a Reverse Confetti die.  The Hero Arts sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder onto vellum.  Twine and heart stickers to complete the card.

I might be back with a couple other Valentine cards to share.  I hope you're having a great time with your Valentine projects!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  It's appreciated!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of February!  There isn't a new planner set for this month, but I've used many previously released sets.  I decided to go with a love theme since it will soon be Valentine's Day!  Madison is in her ballerina outfit holding a sweet sign...so cute!

And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

As I stated above, I have Madison  in her ballerina outfit with hearts and pretty posies behind her.  I colored all the images with copics.  Her outfit and the sentiment is from the set You are Tu Tu Sweet.  The flowers and hearts are from the set Pretty Posies.  The sentiment at the top of the page is from the set Hello Friend.

The planner stamps that I used on the pages are Planner Series:Get Your Craft On,  Planner Series-Celebrate  and Plan Your Life Series: Winter Sentiments.

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for February!
