Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick before I go to my sister's to a birthday celebration.  My oldest sis is celebrating her birthday.  I like to decorate gift bags at times and create a happy scene.  I'm entering my creation over at Word Art Wednesday.

And, here is the gift bag for my sister, Donna...

Several different stamp used for the gift bag such as MFT-sun, grass, and bicycle.  The balloons, bird, and stems on the flowers are from Paper Sweeties.  The butterflies are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The cloud die is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I colored the bird, balloons, and butterflies with copics.  I got a little ink out of place on the balloons, so I colored a design and added polka dots.  At times, mistakes come out better than expected, which was a happy surprise!  I made a card for her, too, but I didn't take a photo of it...sigh...and it's all sealed in the envelope.  Oh, well...next time.  But, I'm looking forward to getting together with my sisters for lunch and a good time celebrating!

Well, that's all for me now.  I'll be back soon.  In the meantime, take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties April 16, 2018-Release Rewind!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Debbie has new dies released this month, which goes along with the Sweeties Pets stamp set!  Since today is the Release Rewind, we combine the new release with previously released sets.

And, here is my card...

Today I am highlighting the Sweeties Pets with coordinating dies  Sweet Cuts-Sweeties Pets along with other sets as seen below.  Emma is hosting a birthday party for the pup!  The pup's furry kitten friend came to the party, too...how fun!

Emma's outfit was colored with copics and die cut using Rah-Rah!(Emma's top), Wishing You(Emma's dress and balloons).  The cake, cupcake, small hats, and sentiment are from the Planner Series: Celebrate.  Sequins(Strawberry) were placed on the Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders for the top border.  And, the vase was turned upside down for the pup to sit on.  The vase was die cut using the set Sweet Cuts-Garden Time.  Twine was added for the finished touch.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Paper Sweeties April 15, 2018-Release Party!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Debbie has new dies released this month, which goes along with the Sweeties Pets stamp set!  As you have already seen yesterday, I had the sweet pup and darling kitten on a shaker card.  Today and tomorrow I will show two more cards using this animal loving set...so fun!

I followed the sketch below for my card...

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a brown card base.  Three panels of paper from BoBunny were used for the background.  The pets were colored with copics.  Sweet Cuts-Sweeties Pets dies were used to die cut the critters.  Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames were die cut and place behind the paw print, dog house, and animals for interest.  Black twine for the finishing touch.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Dies R Us Challenge-April 15, 2018!(Springtime)

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Springtime).  Soon the trees will have leaves and pretty flowers blooming.  The grass will be green.  Oh, how I welcome signs of spring!  Please join us for this fun challenge and have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

I was inspired to make a spring card with lovely daffodils!  And, here is my card...

I started with a green base and paired it with yellow.  The daffodils are from Frantic Stamper.  I made a scalloped border using Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders.  I used Sue Wilson's Dainty Lace Edger die for the corners and added orange dots.  Gold Nuvo drops were placed for the center of the daffodils.  A paper doily was added behind the flowers.  And, the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I just love seeing pretty yellow daffodils bloom in the spring, don't you?!

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has new dies released this month, which goes along with the Sweeties Pets stamp set!  It is always so convenient to have dies cut the images rather than fussy cutting.  Am so happy to have the dies for it is such a sweet stamp set for all those pet lovers in your life!

As you can see by the above image, it has a darling dog and cat along with wonderful sentiments!

And, here is my card...

For my shaker card, I started with a white card base and stamped the dog and cat on the background.  I colored in the dog and colored one black cat for interest.  The black cat was die cut using the newly release Sweet Cuts-Sweeties Pets dies.  The frame was made using Sweet Cuts-Scallop Frames.  The tiny flowers are from the set Basket Add-on: Hoppy Easter.  The sentiment is from the set Hello Friend.  The banner was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Basket Add-on: Hoppy Easter.  Sequins for the shaker are Strawberry, Marshmallow, and BubblegumLicorice seam binding to finish the card.

Thinking of You!

Hi, there!

There is a fun challenge going on this month with the theme "CASE ME IF YOU CAN" to celebrate City Crafter's 8th birthday!  How fun and exciting!  I had to join the challenge
because my sweet friend, Ros Crawford, is the featured designer this week.  And, we are to case her lovely card.  I always admire Ros's water color and design skills!  So, I thought I'd give it a try.  Here is Ros's beautiful card that we are to case...

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a die cut panel using an MFT die.  The background was water colored using distress inks of broken china and twisted citron.  The flower image and sentiment embossed in gold are from Altenew.  Pearl cotton tied in a bow to finish the card.

Thanks so much for visiting here today.  Take care and have a lovely day!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'm back again playing at Seize the Birthday, but with a copic colored version using the same stamp set.  I like both cards, but for different reasons.  And, here is my copic colored card...

I started with a white card base and copic colored the flowers and birds from Pretty Pink Posh.  I added more detail on the images using my Prisma colored pencils.  A white gel pen and Nuvo drops for the center of the flowers.  The fence die is from MFT.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.  And, silk blue ribbon to finish the card.

I 'm happy how the flowers turned out.  I do like the water colored humming bird on my previous card.  And, the above birds are good, but I feel I could have done better.  But, it's OK, every card is different.  So, here is a peek at the water colored card once again...

Ok, friends...which one do you like best?  I asked my husband, but he feels the same as I do.  I think he gave the safe answer for I already told him my opinions of the cards!:-)  Anyways, I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs,
Maria
